Eligibility

3 Year Old Limited Horse
Limited Rider Classes


Horse Eligibility

  • Horse must be in their three year old year.
  • Horse may not have earned more than $2,500 or 10 points prior to January 1st.
  • Horse may not have placed first or second in any novice horse slot class prior to the PQS class.

Exhibitor Eligibility

  • Exhibitor must meet NSBA limited open criteria, which states that a rider cannot have lifetime earnings exceeding $15,000, and if showing as a non-pro, exhibitor may not be on the NSBA open non-pro riders list.
  • Once an exhibitor has reached $25,000 in lifetime earnings through Premier Quarter Sires, beginning the following year he/she is permanently ineligible to compete as a Limited Rider in PQS events.
  • The winning exhibitor from each class will be prohibited form showing the following year. If in the second year following, exhibitor meets all other eligibility criteria, he/she will be permitted to show again.
Limited Horse Limited Rider Non Pro Maturity Classes

  • Horse may not have earned more than $5,000 or 50 points prior to January 1st.
  • Horse may not have earned a World or Reserve World Championship in any breed.

  • Exhibitor must meet NSBA limited non-pro criteria, which state that riders cannot have lifetime earnings exceeding $5,000.
  • Once an exhibitor has reached $25,000 in lifetime earnings through Premier Quarter Sires, beginning the following year he/she is permanently ineligible to compete as a Limited Rider in PQS events.
